Supporting funeral services during COVID-19

How can your funeral home adapt to lockdown

Get started today

Coronavirus lockdown is preventing millions from being able to attend the funerals of their loved ones worldwide. We know you're probably gearing up for this, so we put together this short video to show you how to easily set up online funeral services in 5 minutes.

Social distancing

With social distancing, funeral homes are limiting the number of people who can enter the room, to keep mourners and venue staff safe.

Some are adding time buffers to allow the cleaning of the room after each service with extra care – to prepare for the next set of mourners. And with total lockdown looming, many are preparing to offer virtual ceremonies.

Lockdown responsibilities

Lockdown brings 3 main responsibilities for funeral homes:
  1. To slow the spread of infection.
  2. To have time to be able to react.
  3. To prepare for the aftermath, including offering families the options they need at this difficult time, such as the ability to attend a virtual ceremony.

The way we use technology in our celebrations during our life, and the end of life celebrations as well, is changing a lot, we are having to embrace it. We have already had bookings for funerals via our Appointedd tools. It’s really helpful in freeing up time for our funeral directors.
